This week the theme is Ceremony.
The first thing I thought of was all the Mary Poppins in the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, and here is the famous Snap of Mary Poppins from the film:

There are so many fantastic songs from The Mary Poppins soundtrack, (and I'm so bummed I didn't see the musical!), but the first Song that comes to mind is this one:

The last time my daughter came for a visit we went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. I was very impressed with the production.
ReplyDeleteIronically, they never made an Original Broadway Cast recording of the American version, so in the theater they were selling the Australian Cast Recording.
That's weird! Well I guess if they found it good enough they would stick with the one recording. At the Wicked musical they only had the American cast recording, but at Annie they had an Australian recording. Maybe it depends on how famous the actors are?
