Water for Elephants - Film Love

Water for Elephants is a gorgeous film starring
Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. 

I fell instantly in love with their characters and of course, Rosie the Elephant, 

and even the despicable villain, a crucial element for an unforgettable story.

I love the colours of the circus, the iconic red and white stripes, and in this case the era, the 1930s.

Reese Witherspoon wore the most gorgeous dresses in the film, and her hair had the perfect curls!

If you fell in love with Robert Pattinson in the Twilight movies, you will fall for him all over again in this one, as his character is another kind-hearted romantic.

I also loved the music - so mellow and vintagey.
I was swept away into another era.

Weddings Galore!

Wedding movies seem to be sucking me in this week, and I've been reviewing them over at A Choc Top and Me. I've watched these three:

Made of Honour was my favourite - loved it!

Would you believe?

It was my best friend's wedding on Sunday 20th September. It had been planned for months, right down to the finest details, and what did I do on Saturday to stuff it all up? Bent down to pick up some washing and came up with excruciating back pain! Jonathon was with me at the time, and he saw me fall onto the bed, crying and crying in agony. Part of me was crying too, because the moment my back went, I knew I would not be able to attend the wedding.

Well I have spent all of Saturday, Sunday and Monday in pyjamas, in bed or on the couch, completely uncomfortable most of the time, but not as bad as the first hour or so after I had my injury. Thankfully, our chiropractor was close by at the time and he came straight away to give me an adjustment. He visited again on Sunday, and now I just keep resting, hoping for the pain and discomfort to go away soon. I can't sit for long anywhere, but I wanted to share some of the photos taken by my hubby of the beautiful wedding.

Luckily, Emma's sister-in-law, Bec, (the middle bridesmaid) was able to take my spot in the bridal party and it all went along as usual. Of course, I was devastated that I wasn't there, but having the photos and a video (taken by Jack) made me feel as though I didn't miss it.

For time and all eternity

When it was coming up to our tenth wedding anniversary, we thought we would get eternity rings to celebrate. Jonathon found the one he wanted pretty quickly, but I've only just managed to find the perfect eternity ring for me, and it is one and a half years later! Thanks to Zamel's for having this sparkling beauty in their window. I am so in love with it!

It is a further symbol of our marriage for time and all eternity in the Sydney temple in 1998.

Lucky me to find such a caring man with such a beautiful heart.
