365 Days in Nature 5

Waking up in the morning when camping, I opened the tent door and was greeted by this peaceful sight:


Imagine the warm sun on the sand, and the sound of seagulls nearby. Bliss!

Edging a little further out of the tent I saw this:

Yes, that is one of the boys from church hurtling down the dune on a sandboard!

I guess it's never too early in the morning for adventure!

  2. Definitely in winter mode here ... when I first saw it I thought "snow" - then I remembered ...

    And as for why it's "what's left of the tree in front of my house", it used to be much more dense - but disease caused most of it to have to be cut away.

    And the ice patch ... quite normal ... quite common during winter.
