Summer Reading Bliss

I've been lucky enough to have some time at a quiet part of the beach this week, and read a couple of books which were perfect for the setting. You can read my reviews of these books here.

The sunsets and balmy nights promise more of this heatwave.
Right now, I welcome it!

I have a stack of books by Australian writers that I'm about to read. They include,
That'd be Right by William McInnes

Jessica by Bryce Courtenay

and The Valley by Di Morrissey.

Just trying to decide which one to pick up first!

Check out what everyone else is reading at Sheila's Book Journey:

  1. I am in Minnesota now and the thought of sitting on a beach would be HEAVEN!!!! Enjoy all that sun and feel free to bottle some up for me :)

Barefoot looks really good and goes with your beach reading :)

  2. Beautiful images! Looks peaceful and quiet too. Enjoy your reading.

  3. Loved the McInnes book cover! LOL!

    Gorgeous pictures btw. :)

New follower! Come see my Monday as well! Have a great week everyone!

  4. Jealous of the beach photos :P It's thundering and threatening freezing rain here! Blech.

Good luck this week on the reading :)

  5. Thanks for dropping by everyone, and thanks for following, Niina C. I nearly have 100 followers! xx

  6. Sigh I miss the white sands of Perth beaches - the east coast sand is horrible!

Enjoy your reading this week, I've read a different book by William McGuiness that I enjoyed but I could barely get through The Valley.

Wishing you a great reading week!

  7. Perth looks beautiful. We're having our first big winter rain of the year.

My last semester beings on Wednesday. This is my last week of reading tons for a while. Please come see what I'm reading.

  8. Those all look like deliciously beach themed reads! I don't deny I'm pretty jealous of your local as well :).

    Happy reading this week!

  9. I just wanted to say...what great beach photos! And I'm not a beach loving girl, but your photos make it look inviting. :-]

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)

I love that you are getting to read by the ocean. I LOVE the sound of ocean waves, soothing.

Last Feb I spent three weeks in Australia, can't wait to get back and explore more.

  11. Oh, I love Elin Hilderbrand's books and haven't read Barefoot yet....

I am longing for the beach!

You have a gorgeous that header.

Here's MY MONDAY MEMES POST - and here’s
