Leaf Love in the Park

It's time to play A Snap, A Set and A Song in the blogosphere! This week's theme is Park, and we have a beautiful park right near our home, with the most wonderfully tall trees!

There are also a lot of Aussie grass trees at the park too. The flower coming out of the top is usually straight, but these ones went a bit crazy!

My Set, has an autumny feel to it, rather than spring, but there are no flowers in our park, so the colours are taken from the leaves, and bark.

This song has pretty much nothing to do with the park theme, but it has been going round and round in my head, and it is at least filmed outdoors! I just love the pretty melody:

Off to visit Thea at A Snap, A Set and A Song:

I'm also joining up with Friday Fancies for the Leaf Love theme:

See you there!

  1. Wonderful SS&S Wendy! Don't you love parks with tall trees? So peaceful. We picked almost the same colours for our sets! Love those shoes...and that watch! 'Park' was a bit hard for a song this week, love the one you chose.

And thanks for introducing me to 'My Friday's Fancies'...I'm looking forward to joining in there too!

Thanks so much for linking. xx

    1. I nearly went for Itchycoo park, but the Travis song was haunting me!

Thankfully I have similar shoes that I LOVE!

  2. PS Those grass trees made me giggle!!

    1. Yeah! They look like green stick men in grass skirts!

  3. Taking a quick break here in Disney World to check out your SSandS today. Nice - especially the Fall look as it is Fall here now. Although I have to admit it definitely feels like summer here in the south at the moment - we are in Florida. :-)

    1. Aah, Disney World - you are making me jealous! It's on my bucket list.:)

  4. Cute outfit! And yay for Perth. I'm actually heading there on Monday for work :)

    1. Oh, what did you think of Perth? It's possibly not that exciting a place for visitors, but it has great weather! :)

  5. I love the set and I love Travis - whatever happened to them? That album was one of my favourites :)

    1. Hmm, you made me wonder the same thing so I googled them! I can't believe it's 13 years since that song was in the charts! This bit of trivia is classic: "when Travis took the stage to perform this song at the 1999 Glastonbury Festival, after being dry for several hours, it began to rain as soon as the first line was sung. The following day the story was all over the papers and television."

      How cool!

According to google, "In 2002 ... things came to a screeching halt for Travis, with the band almost calling it quits after drummer, Neil Primrose, jumped head-first into a shallow swimming pool while on tour in France. Breaking his neck, he almost died due to spinal damage. If not for his bandmates, he also would have drowned. Despite the severity of the accident, Primrose has since made a full recovery."

Since then, they have made another 5 albums over the years,
have been touring recently, and are bringing out a new album early 2013. So, they are alive and well! xx

Thanks for leaving me a message. You have made my day! xx
