365 Days in Nature 4

When we went camping in November with our church group,
the boys made a campfire which was so toasty and warm.
We had hot chocolates and toasted marshmallows of course!

Soooo relaxing. Best night of the year I think!

You can see some more nature pics at The Happy Shutterbug and The 365 Project.

Love to you!

365 Questions - No.3: What are you reading right now?

I always have a book or two on the go, and at the moment I am reading Life of Pi,

which is all about the habits of animals. It is so beautifully written and thought-provoking.
Now I really want to see the movie, but I think I'll finish the book first.

On my iphone, I am reading Peaches for Monsieur le Cure by Joanne Harris,

which is also an exquisitely written book.
It is the third part in the series after Chocolat and The Lollipop Shoes,
and I am loving revisiting the familiar characters of Vianne, Roux, Anouk, and Father Reynaud.
They feel like old friends.

What are you reading right now, and are you loving it?
Let me know in the comments,
or join in with your own post and link it to the 365 Question Challenge.

 Love to you!

365 Days in Nature 3

In November we went camping overnight at Flat Rock.
On the way, there was a gorgeous hill of sand that was so smooth and white.
My boys had to run up and down it of course!
These pictures look similar to the ones of my friend's camping trip in the Abu Dhabi desert!

More on this trip tomorrow...

Love to you!

365 Days in Nature 2

On New Year's Eve we went fishing in this pretty spot:

It was so peaceful and relaxing there.

Check out more nature shots at The Happy Shutterbug.

365 Question Challenge - No.2: Can People Change?

Question 2 for this year is Can People Change?

Absolutely! I have changed dramatically over the years.

I try to live a good, clean life, but I could do better:

I need to lose weight.
I need to clear the clutter in my house.
And I need to be more committed to going to church.

I just have to try harder!

What changes would you like to make right now?

Join in the 365 Question Challenge and share your thoughts!

Love to you!

365 Questions Challenge - No.1: What is your mission?

I got this fabbo little book for Christmas called Q&A a day: 5 year Journal.
Hopefully the publishers won't mind if I share one question each day on my blog!
You can join in too if you like, and have a little philosophical moment each day.
(You can get your own book like this from The Nile)

The first question of the year is What is your mission?
This is a HUGE question! I could answer it in different ways, but mostly I feel my mission is:

To be a motivational mum to my son
To be a supportive wife to my husband
To spend time with my family
To be a teacher who inspires trust, and builds confidence in children
To be organised and efficient.

These different elements of my life don't always meld very well.
Usually, if I achieve one of them to the best of my ability,
the others are not maintained,
so I am eternally trying to make these goals work together. To make them balance.

So that is my mission of the year - to find BALANCE.

Let's see if it can be done somewhat better this year!

Love to you...

365 Days in Nature Challenge

Welcome to the New Year!
If you haven't been here before, thanks for dropping in!
If you visit regularly, I am forever grateful for your loyalty!

I am joining in with the 365 Days in Nature Challenge at The Happy Shutterbug (and not really sure that I will keep up, but, hey you gotta give these things a go!).

So, yesterday, we went fishing at Two Rocks while the weather was balmy.
The sunset was stunning!

Tomorrow, I'll share some more pics from this gorgeous fishing spot.

Love to you
