My Sister's Birthday

A couple of weeks ago we got together with my sister, Kristie, for her birthday.
We went to a really pretty place in East Perth called the The Royal on the Waterfront.

I love family adventures!

A Snap, A Set and a Song - Family

So....I've been gone for awhile, because life was crazily busy, and I had to step away from the computer to get everything done! Although, really, the last couple of days have been truly lazy with lots of napping! Christmas food and hot, hot weather will do that to you!
I have heaps of blog catching-up to do now, so get ready for some belated posts.

First of all, I'm joining in with Thea at A Snap, A Set, and a Song for the first time in AGES!
This week's theme is FAMILY, so I'm heading right back to the beginning of December, when we celebrated three birthdays in the family by heading to a park in Joondalup for a picnic.

Lily turned 3.

Jack turned 14, and James, my nephew, (in the background) turned 22.

My set is a collection of more pics from the day:

And my song is a cheery tune about birthdays:

Go visit Thea to see some more SS & S posts about families!

Bittersweet Birthday

On October 26th, it had been a whole year since my younger sister had her twins Blake and Willow.
Sadly, Willow passed away, a year ago today, so Blake's 1st birthday party on the 28th was one of smiles and tears, as we celebrated his life and remembered Willow.

Blake is a gorgeous little man, I could hug him all day!

Nana got to have a cuddle!

As did his Mum and Dad, Kristie and Dave:

Not sure how I didn't get a photo with Blake, but I got one with his sister, Lily. She's a character!

Lily spent a good half hour arranging party hats on Jonathon's head until he looked like a punk!

(Spot the Where's Wally in the background, lol!)

Here is my boy, Jack, with my older sister's son, James.
They are usually in some sort of wrestling clinch or another!

This is a shot of my sister's family with her dad and his partner Ruth.

I didn't manage to get a very good shot of the birthday table and cake, but I loved all the red and aqua and the circus theme - too pretty!

And this bunch of flowers was from Kristie's mothers'group,
with butterflies to keep to remind us of Willow.

We won't forget you Willow. Sweet dreams little angel.
We love you so.
