Last week, we had a trip to the Perth Zoo! It was a rainy afternoon, and not too busy, so we were able to have some one to one time with some of the animals.
Oh I love the giraffes -they look so elegant! I read somewhere that the lion is the only animal that could kill a zebra (the last one has the ability to kick the other animal to death!) Thanks for coming by my blogs!
There were actually six giraffes walking along together, and I so wanted to get a pic of them all, but the other ones were sniffing each others backsides the whole time, ha!
This tree is a Moreton Bay Fig tree, and I've always been fascinated by the tree roots. As a child, I imagined little mythical creatures like elves and fairies living amongst them. xx
Fantastic shots from the zoo.
ReplyDeleteWe loved it there; the animals were being so playful! :)
DeleteLove the photo of the tiger. It makes you think you could just stretch out and stroke it - or maybe that's what he wants you to think!
ReplyDeleteHe was sooo beautiful! He was rubbing his head on the glass and cleaning himself. He reminded us of a bigger version of our pet cat! xx

DeleteNice shots - those first two are thinking "I'm hungry."
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! The cheetah was growling and carrying on and was definitely after my husband! :)
DeleteLooks like you had a nice visit. - Margy
ReplyDeleteOther times we've been I've always concentrated on the animals, but now I can appreciate the trees, flowers and waterfalls as well.:)
DeleteAmazing pictures. I love the tree roots! Looks like you had a great day!
